I don,t understand why its so important, most people know who they are going to vote for and a piece of paper shoved through the letterbox wont make that much difference. :cuppa

I always nest the D2D's leaving all the ones that turn to mush when wet on the inside and the thicker one on the outside to stop tears and ease of postage . It also makes the duty longer flicking through loose D2D's for each house. The other problem is single slots for 2 properties which slows up the prepping big time.
Also someone should tell the DOM'S and LINO'S who prep the D2D's on the lapsed walks not to do it as well.

When d2d are nested, the ones inside never even get looked at, at all. When that happens, why would companies bother using d2d? d2d would then drop in volume and RM would then look to take even more hours out of DOs

Same reason they get sent out even though people have notes on their doors saying not to deliver them

With respect to S.P. I don't think that someone who doesn't work in delivery actually realise what we are up against on a daily basis. I notice that a few posts of yours appear to have negative comments about us mortals in delivery !.

Aye come and have a go at stacking D2Ds and see how many you get delivered in a week.
Companies certainly. Won't use us when at least 50% get sent back.

I can see RM having 2 or 3 part-time duties per DO eventually who just deliver d2d. They could cover a different area each day. Machines exist which can stack d2d items such as this:

https://www.duplointernational.com/uk/E ... -21/16D21/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It took 2 seconds to google that

Chances are that they don't get sent back to the companies, more likely they'd just get chucked into an industrial paper compactor and sent for recycling

Not sure if you watched or understood the video? But the machine was nesting the leaflets not stacking? Around 2:40 in if you can’t be arsed to watch the lot :thumbdown

As I said....the leaflets will typically unnest themselves as they are pushed through the letterbox. It would be easier to request Posties to push them all the way through the letterbox so this happens, rather than request stacking.

Stacking leads to leaflets slipping out of bundles onto the floor, then you don't know where the leaflet came out of as they are not numbered. Stacking leaflets means having to flick through each leaflet. Stacking leaflets onto stacked leaflets onto stack leaflets on a Saturday is also a mess and awkward to number.

Do people really believe that Pizza Hut are teamed up with the liberal democrats because their leaflets are nested together. C'mon! If people think that they can also believe stacked leaflets are in some way partnered.

It's not like the leaflets are being stapled together or put in an envelope together.

Don't think you bothered to watch it, it stacks them then wraps each bundle with a wap-around cover (which can be used as more advertising space (advtertising RM's services? :cuppa

Nesting! They should be more worried about the fact that thousands go undelivered every week.

Absolute disgrace in my office - Prep one, miss one; hide them under other frames; refuse to do them if covering a round on overtime; take them home and burn them; and managers turn a blind eye all the time. This also applies to election material.

New starts in the office this week spent Tuesday indoors putting D2D together. They were all nested. :left:
The machine stops.
