Better off getting your attack in first, don't take any chances and boot any dog in the head that approaches you and keep kicking or stamping on it until it gets the mesage

A deodorant is as effective as a pepper spray.

I don't understand why you can't fight back. Why can't we Kick the dog in the head, get it in a head lock....or can we?....
Will Royal Mail sack us if we fight back and kick a dog in the ball sack? or are we supposed to just let the dog bite us as many times as possible?

You can do what you want Norris but I don't fancy your chances!! Post a video of your first "dog subdued by postie headlock manoeuvre" to https://www.itv.com/youvebeenframed/upload" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;norris9 wrote:I don't understand why you can't fight back. Seriously though, retreat and defend yourself above all else. Dog attacks can be very serious.

You can defend yourself in any way as long as the force is both reasonable and not cruel.norris9 wrote:I don't understand why you can't fight back. Why can't we Kick the dog in the head, get it in a head lock....or can we?....

One attack in my area, which resulted in a death, (and imprisonment of the owner) had neighbours using metal poles, hose lengths, knives and a policeman used the body of a fire extinguisher - so not sure if "kicking the dog in the head", or putting it in a headlock gives the dog anything to think about, other than another meaty target to bite into.
Also kicking the dog in the "ball sack" won't help if its been castrated, female or even just a normal dog. Its well known that dogs can ignore tremendous levels of pain especially when in attack or survival mode.

I'm more interested in how you kick an attacking dog in the balls, they tend to be pointing the bitey end towards you in my experience, not their arse.

Just explain to the dog that you can't stand around here being eaten because it will show up as a big yellow dot on the PDA actuals. The dog will understand your manager is a knob.

Yes. Just ask it to sign and it will stop attacking and start wittering on about how it never looks like their signature on these things.glass joe wrote:PDA is the only real thing to protect you against a big dog.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I don't think I would bother pepper spraying a dog, but I would defiantly spray the customers

You mean owners of the feral Dogs I it take it but prevention is the key thing and I know it is hard but take the mail back but the worst case is idiots who open the door and not secure their animal for that is what it is, Nothing you can carry in this land will stop a 50 KG 110 Pound beast attacking you unless you run it over but the my dog don't bite brigade will hunt you down!baz1 wrote:I don't think I would bother pepper spraying a dog, but I would defiantly spray the customers

The managers have always got our back. You can trust them.
