done regular in ours, although now its pricey. one kid pays a hundred quid to cover a Friday or sat. so he's effectively set the bar too high now, everytime a cover is arranged they say ''well ******* ***** pays a wonna so that's what i'm charging. so most just cover the buffoon that will pay it. not for me.

Not allowed to ask spouses, partners, friends, relatives to help do your delivery unless they are posties in your DO. Obvious security reasons.jd9442 wrote:Allowed

Used to cover a SA of 2 hours for £20. The lad lived miles away... and the SA was a "Compulsory Extra" that the Tricky DOM had got his Office to agree to.
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

Stopped at ours. Somebody actually paid somebody to do half for them and our boss refused to let said person leave! Makes sense I guess, the powers that be don't know somebody has paid somebody else to do work for them; just looks as though management are letting somebody go hours before their time.

I didn't want to commit to the SA, because those were the days when you had to get someone to cover it for you when you went on Leave. I used to cover for 2 or 3 different guys so it gave me greater flexibility if I didn't want to do it that evening. Plus I was getting paid more!arnold cheshire wrote:Why didn't you just sign for the saDorset Plodder wrote:Used to cover a SA of 2 hours for £20.
