Cant get Annual leave days

It's all right.
The JWG have agreed TOR for dealing with the issue.
There is an LTB about it.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

This might be of help......maybe, perhaps.....LTB 409/19 - Joint Review of Annual Leave Arrangements

https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... ead#unread" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Selected quote from LTB below:
Branches will note that the review includes the following key elements:

A individual review of every employee’s leave record to reach agreement on the current state of leave, carried over and outstanding.

The timetable for the review is as follows:

1. Unit manager and CWU representatives should complete reviews with individuals over 4 weeks from 8th July to 2nd August. During that period Operations Manager/Plant Manager/Collections Manager/Area Distribution Manager and Area Representative confirm that the activity has been completed by the 2nd August.

This has been going on for months no wonder people just take sickies.
People can't even get days of 6 months away.
Yet you get people working their weeks annual leave! If they don't want to be on annual leave, then don't take it, and leave the space free for someone who does want annual leave!

By the time our last DOM left about four or five years ago we had a hell of a mess with backlogs of days in lieu that could not be booked due to lack of AL capacity. We also had a cock up, which got attributed to the DOM, where quite a few posties had somehow been allowed to book & take too much AL. I think I lost about two weeks worth of days in lieu which I had records for, as I keep diaries of dates, but as RM set a cut off date I lost that time off.

I have worked odd days of AL in the past but only to help out and not for the money as such. I wouldn't do it again though as the RM pay system has problems with paying you when you are down as being on AL.

Probably because no one should be working their annual leave (not sure if it's also illegal to do so as well)
