Saturdays Off

yes i'm the same 4 months in and no Saturday off as yet. my biggest bug bear is not knowing your following weeks day off until the rota goes up on a Thursday.

They should be able to put at least a couple of weeks rota ahead on the noticeboard unless your DO is really short staffed. Even when our DO was not fully staffed we still would have at least a month ahead on the noticeboard.

Talking of staff shortages their were 16 walks lapsed, as in not delivered at all, in our area on Saturday due to 'sickness' on the half-term week. Apparently there are problems due to Ramadan as well and prayer time. RM have to find out if it is correct to be praying for 90 minutes at a time or not.

Worked in a different office last week and guy i worked with told me they always get 1 in 6 or at least 2 in 12. All news to me. Came here to see comments and found this thread. Will be asking for saturdays when i go in Monday ;)

Our rotas normally go up on a Saturday when everyones out on their rounds

Well don't come in Monday then It is just a good a day as Saturday off in that you get two together just say you assumed it was because you were off Saturday or could not see the rota for the riot before you.
