Dont some full-time staff in some office work monday-friday? or is it they are just few and far between? Monday - Friday means we have a better routine.

Most of our 20hr duties work only mon-fri with Saturday's only on OT, I see this as the shape of things to come (if :cfo :lfo get their way :mad )

You still need to throw the work up even if its sequenced. You then have to add the manually sorted stuff to it,do your missorts kill offs, redirections etc plus sort your packets out. Then there will be the missort van. If your deliveries 3,5 hours, that will take longer than, 4 hours per day!

Knickers.

Most of the firms SD deliveries in my office are held until Monday. Only 3 firms have requested Saturday deliveries, one of those is the DSS.

The biggest SD deliveries are a group of outlying villages.

It could be a problem for reserve post delivery staff and also I don't really want to give up floating week off perk. Any ideas when job cut will start if this happens as I want to stop spending about 2 months before.

Vast majority of our office would be in favour of Mon-Fri deliveries even if it meant some job cuts. Would be worth it for getting "WEEKENDS" like the rest of our families and friends. PostCon were floating the idea around the press last Summer.

Weekend is ok for small city break but you can't go on a week holiday anywhere. Unless you use some of these 4.5 weeks allowance (Roughly) and problem is you have to book more than 6 months in advance which is a pain.

Also a week off will allow more recovery time for the body.
