I work in the Gaming industry since IHR from Royal Mail so couldn't refuse to contribute here. To the trolls who took the mickey and made those inane and hurtful comments you clearly don't understand the ruinous consequences of gambling addiction for both the individual and especially the families if that applies. It's not like boozing which can be done for relatively little cost with a temporary hangover and a few hours of pain; the consequences of just one gambling binge can last years.
This is one of the most depressing situations a colleague can find themselves in. Do NOT ever be tempted to chase the losses, write them off.
The UKGC (UK Gambling Commission) has started a scheme this year whereby you can exclude from all online gambling in one go, which all UKGC license holders must have hooked up to by Dec 31. This will pretty much prevent all your online gambling bar the unlicensed market (casinos taking unlicensed deposits without a UKGC license) which the payment providers shouldn't process any transactions for anyway, and those sites are likely to be rogue anyway and not pay winnings.
Your information for bricks-and-mortar establishments such as bookies and arcades is here:
https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/f ... usion.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Your exclusion from online gambling, the Gamstop Scheme is here:
https://www.gamstop.co.uk/register" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you do manage to gamble when excluded they WILL spot this upon checks made before an withdrawals and your bets/stakes will be void and no winnings paid and deposits refunded thus making it pointless to try.
I hope you sort this out!
