It's a no from me.Not enough done with regards bullying, part timers, the pay rise is appalling & those poor buggers in delivery who's knee's, hips & bodies will be knackered by the time they are 50, let alone 67!!

The NHDC could be used to facilitate everyone being paid correctly for the hours they work rather than not getting fully paid but I fear it will be used for something else. RM sounds like they are possessed by the idea of stopping us sorting the mech into our sorting frames and that it will somehow save time - it won't !! Thirdly and final the trials on timed windows for tracked parcels could make the job really difficult especially if they decided on one hour time windows.
Did not witness it personally but sounds like another "Starburst" idea. Let them get on with it. The problem is, when not if these trials fail, will they use it to wriggle out of SWW?

its a no from me,too many things based on trails and nothing in concrete , too many ifs, buts.

payrise that stinks

parttimers shafted

back pay shafted

more work less time, increase in packets not taken into account, a letter will take 10 secs max, a packet takes between 1-5 mins

try neighbour left right opposite side of road .......

packets are up yet traffic is down

It should have been a vote on a 2 year pay deal as this is really an interim agreement of trials and reviews and doesn't justify a vote.

Local mediation should have been removed from the legally binding agreement.Campaigning to reverse the trade union laws and at the same time agreeing to another layer of restrictions on the right to withdraw your labour is ridiculous.

I voted NO

I'm in my 40s and I've seen the job get steadily worse from when I first started. Some might disagree with me but I've honestly seen more cases of bullying and harassment taking place now than they ever was in the past. Seems to me that ever since Royal Mail privatised, everything, and I mean everything, has been about cutting costs and saving money. From Indoor Work Plans, bigger outdoor deliveries and not promoting enough part time staff to full time when some of these guys have been doing copious amounts of overtime for the company are all things that the company introduced and/or get away with on a daily basis. The CWU are positively reactionary in their stance and their "4 pillars" which might have initially appeared as 'forward thinking', well, now we have seen the agreement - those pillars are hardly set in concrete in any way are they? I don't know much about pensions but what I do know is that I don't believe a word that Royal Mail have said about our pensions being 'unaffordable' in 2018. Has it not been unaffordable for years?? Our pensions is perhaps the one thing that we should not have compromised on, and unfortunately the CWU have fell at the first hurdle for me and only gone and compromised on it. Its by no means clear and lets put it this way, would you vote NO we want the original pension or YES we would like a non-guaranteed watered down pension?

And so, the Union have compromised on many other things as well. Like a SWW for what some have speculated for a rather modest pay rise. OK, so we initially work a few hours less a week for the same money. If that translated as a few loops off our duties every day then I would agree it is totally necessary but it won't be, its expected that this work is somehow 'absorbed'. In other words we will simply be expected to work faster and more efficiently in the time that we have got. And it becomes ever clear that the Union does not listen to its members but their own agenda. Oh well, just keep using the overrunning procedure. As long as you do the job, take your breaks and tell them that you don't want to work past your time, it will all be fine. And its never fine when you get backchat off a manager over what you should be capable off because the lazy f**kers won't put their orange coats on in the rain. Just seems that RM are pretty much pulling all the strings in terms of trials, future pay rises and our conditions. There are more holes in this agreement than in a Donut factory. The Union leaders really are on the cusp of something special.

And Royal Mail have only agreed "in principle" , they might wake up tomorrow and decide that they actually don't like the deal and renege.

Monthly pay and team working were all non-starters thrown in to negotiations knowing that they were always going to take them back. I suspect they really didn't really want to pay us sick pay though. I've heard many cases of where RM have tried to wriggle out of paying sick pay to posties now.

Personally with sick pay I would have made it so that if the doctor said an employee shouldn't go to work or if they physically couldn't leave the house then they would be paid sick leave. There is a lot of abuse of the sick pay system though currently and if that could be lessened then maybe some of RM more destructive ideas could be dropped.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

No from me!

Do the union really think that their members goal in these negotiations would be a shorter working week at the expense of a longer working life?

Who were they negotiating on behalf of? In another thread they talk of "rock solid support" for this agreement. Not from this postman.

Initially i was going to vote yes, but having gone through everything I'm going to vote no, it's way to vague I had faith when Terry said we're on the cusp of something special, I've lost my confidence in him to be fair,if he said look it's not great but it's the best we could do, but to dress this up as something special is disgraceful.
