Who is working sunday
We were going to work on this Sunday just gone (17th) to clear our backlog from the two days we didn't deliver due to snow & ice. But we worked our arses off with overtime on the Thurs/Fri/Sat and cleared everything. Mind you we were somewhat working in the dark with torches and I personally didn't get back to the DO on Saturday until 1730 !!
Finishing a lot later due to double absorption plus more being incorporated into all our walks earlier this year after 'losing' two walks. In hindsight we should have just given away one walk to RM and are now effectively left holding the baby.
Some of us are starting to cut off and bring mail back this week due to either having to do collections at 1600 or not wanting to work in the dark. Mind you our DOM has told us not to work in the dark and they will find someone else to help if need be. So there is a bit of delay in our office but nothing we can't clear the next day. It does sound though from other comments here that mail might be backing up further back in the mail stream/mail centres.
