Any other random hoops to jump through ? Perhaps ascertain if members have ever had any allergies - what the name of their first pet was maybe ?

f**k that - send out the ballot papers. We vote. If a majority vote yes then we have all the mandate we need to potentially hold strike action.

edit. sequestration of union funds. Is anyone looking at this ? Because if we don't control our money, they do. At the minute we are not even sovereign over our own f***ing money. We need to start stepping things up a bit.

well our branch secretary told us the last time they got an injunction against us was for petulant little things like female members getting married and not updating their membership surname, people moving address and not informing the union. the least bit thing they think will throw a spanner in the workings that might get them an injunction, then they will go for it. it shows you how low they will stoop.

Trouble is that RM's approach is likely to make 'on-the-fence' CWU members even more likely to vote for industrial action. When you consider the PDA memos, the Courier 'Specials', are absolute morons running (or should it be ruining) RM? I think I know the answer to this

Our local rep has been round checking addresses 2-3 weeks ago. I would suggest anyone who has moved takes steps themselves to notify the rep rather than waiting for it to happen

well you can bet your boots if there are any discrepancies RM will be off crying to the courts to have the action stopped (if its a yes).
