work to rule
but, you see where i'm coming from, on the result of a yes ballot, we strike fri-sat, mon-tue, so the mail piles up, leaving no chance whatsoever of completing deliveries, then a work to rule, ensures, that we work normally, people know what time they start/finish, so no stress, no rushing around, because, there would be no chance of finishing the delivery!!!

Why rush round? Maybe I'm too old, but I have never started before my start time, I don't understand the people who come in early for no pay.
If you have 6 weeks holiday a year and you come in for the other 46 weeks for 15 minutes early for 4 days a week that equals 1 hour a week you have worked and not got paid, now times that by 46 that equals 46 hours, now if all you people out there who do this can just give me 46 hours of there pay and transfer it into my bank account please coz that's what u r really doing but you are giving it to RM instead of me.
And the work to rule to me is just doing your job properly as stated in your contract.
So it's up to you lot, you either do the job properly, or you come in early, rush about, cut corners, don't do your vehicle checks and let RM walk all over you, it's up to u, but if you decide the latter don't bitch about it on here or anywhere else just get on with it

Let's all forget about the old days and do the job to spec , starting on time and using trolleys , it's the only way to protect jobs . If people want to work for free then many soup kitchens , food banks & charity shops would love to hear from them

overtime is not compulsory , Royal Mail management cannot force you into doing overtime, they can try and bully and harass you just make sure you have witnesses or record the conversations to back yourself up if you decide to take them down the harassment route .. harassment from management is the major factor in posties working overtimebaldrick wrote:A work to rule would be regarded by RM as unofficial industrial action and would result in people being suspended or sacked. That would mean having to take unofficial strike action which would enable RM to take legal action against the CWU.
The CWU needs to ballot not just for strike action but also for an overtime ban.

And it's even worse than that now because they don't even want to pay over time. Put pressure on you to complete and add more delivery points to add insult to injury! And In my area there is no obvious union support of any kind so most of the workers complete their rounds in whatever way possible! And we all know what that means!Godric wrote:overtime is not compulsory , Royal Mail management cannot force you into doing overtime, they can try and bully and harass you just make sure you have witnesses or record the conversations to back yourself up if you decide to take them down the harassment route .. harassment from management is the major factor in posties working overtimebaldrick wrote:A work to rule would be regarded by RM as unofficial industrial action and would result in people being suspended or sacked.
