TBH I hadn't thought of that but I don't think there is a limit on RD.

I don't know what it is about Saturdays, but every single week I have usually, 8-9 R/D and 4-5 Specials, mainly packets and none big enough to throw up to the driver. So my trolley, instead of having 2 bags of mail has 1 of mail and 1 of packets, and I've got to keep the packet one with me 'cos of the specials. During the week I never have that many, usually about half what I get Saturday. We don't take mailsort on Saturdays, but as that has been replaced with DSA (same sh**, different label), these light, early Saturdays are a joke.

Still on the bright side, I've never had more than 2 cards worth or RD/Specials though one of our drivers once had over 180 Specials (all for the same place) but the PHG was pulling what little hair he had, out. Laugh? I nearly started.

41 recorded's and 8 specials

Post by thekiddykid »

years ago (1996 i think) we had a mass drop of recordeds from the old MEB giving £50 back to all the council properties in the area. My mate had 164 of these things and left the office at 9 and had done 2 STREETS by half 11 :d'oh!
The biggest problem was leaving a notice left form because the word spread like wildfire that the postman was giving away money  and he was as popular as Gemma Atkinson in a 'SNOG ME FOR A PENNY' competition :Very Happy as people waved P739's at him!!! He finally returned to the office at 4.35 to be met by a 100 metre queue at the callers kiosk :d'oh!
But after reading dvbuk55's earlier post this is but a drop in the ocean... I would have gone home sick pretty sharpish :nana
