You won't be doing a 6-hour delivery even if your hours increase to cover it - well not for long anyway. A few months of that and you'll just be spending your time out of work exhausted, aching and questioning your future. Leave the 6-hour deliveries to the docket whores and ghosters - at least they have a choice whether to do it.
It's an insane idea. I'd rather have a healthy Postperson down my road than see them become crippled as the years pass, then have spells off work because of it.
