That's why it needs to go to the IB.Dorset Plodder wrote:Mangers often use the "We've had a complaint from a customer...." Bullshit.Often nothing ever comes from it, just their childish mentality, trying to wind up someone who may have upset them. If nothing comes of this incident just watch your back in future, because your manager may try and drop you in the shite again. This particular incident sounds very dodgy.

This don't make sense at all.
Who would leave a letter on a windscreen when it can be traced back to their workload?
If you was a bad'un you'd either steal it or ditch it.
Why would someone do something that they have nothing to gain from and everything to lose.
Whoever done this has done wilful delay surely among the million other things they say you can get pinched for on the induction course.
I hope they catch the snake.

I got back to my van once to find a letter under the wipers, either a missort that got delivered, or fallen on floor.
Possible a passer-by has done similar but placed it on the customers car?

Just watch your back son, everybody who works for RM knows that there is a lot of bullying that managers seem to push under the carpet, like it doesn't exist.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.....
Went into work today, had my return to work interview, he didn't mention anything about leaving mail under car wipers, I had to ask him about it and he didn't seem interested in entering into a conversation about the subject whatsoever..... it has now changed from 2 complaints to just the one, after informing him I know the manager of the business property, that business ever making a complaint has now vanished. there was no statements, no interview.... nothing can't understand it at all.rehabron wrote:At this time until the fact finding uncovers further information giving the exact days that mail was left at both locations it has yet to be fully established that you have been reported for leaving this mail and you will want to see written copies of the complaints. You have clearly identified the access route that needs to be taken in order to locate the hidden L/B location at the household which others may not be aware of including your manager. You have also mentioned that with regards to the other property that mail for this on a Saturday is held at the depot and this would prove interesting if the complaint is having their mail left on a Saturday as this has not been clarified at this moment in time. The interviewer at the fact-finding will attempt to try and catch you out but you have an advantage over the manager with the knowledge of the duties that you have stated and with assistance from a good experienced union rep will be fully prepared for the questions being asked. The first to come to mind is that FF meetings should be taking place within 24/48 hours of the complaint so you want to know why it has taken them so long to notify you. You have obviously delivered to this household with the L/B hidden at the rear and been advised of this so you would have no reason to leave mail on windscreen wipers. Return the suspicion back to the line manager.Decpassat06 wrote:For what? Ah yes the great "reserve" scapegoat trick.
Most the duty holders are useless and love to blame the reserves and floaters for everything. It's annoying as hell.

If you know the properties involved go round and apologise for what happened. Bet they won't have a clue what you are talking about, confirming the the idiot is lying. Still think it'a an IB matter.
