NOT that "this money will find itself into a RM employees pocket" but that if it's not intercepted at the Mail Centre it might end up at the Returned Mail Centre in Belfast and NOT be linked to your report of what has happened.themailman wrote:Go straight to the top of RM. Papers, social media, everything.
What a sickener.
A question though for those who reckon there is only a slim chance of a positive result, do you mean that this money will find itself into a RM employees pocket, or that if/when found it will be retained by the company and donated to charity etc.

If you're lucky a kind hearted postie might come into possession of them and find out where they're meant for and just deliver them. A little boy had all his christmas cards for school and went and put them in a real postbox instead of the one they set up at school, kind hearted postie delivered them to the school anyway (not entirely sure how they made it to the IPS frame with no postage though)

Hope this story has a Happy Ending. We all know instances of "Lost Mail" turning up with some surprise results. Normally thanks to some Royal Mail staff with common sense.
When I first read the post I thought these letters should end up in Belfast, and now you can see why they're opened in a Secure Environment. Hopefully a call to customer services and a good description will match up the owner with the mail.
