New pda, no signal
Been using the new ones for over a month now and yesterday was obviously a nationwide problem that by lunchtime was fine. It's the second time it's happened. You can still log on though but have to adhoc the collections, it took a while to figure it out but was fine. If they still have jobs pending they clear themselves quite quickly when back in the charger, we haven't had any problems and the ee signal is poor in some areas, they just save the info until they get a decent signal. I did a 5 hr plus delivery straight into a 3 hour collection and hardly used the battery, I don't think anyone has needed the spare batteries yet.

New pda, no signal
Logging on in the office shouldn't be a problem if the wi fi is working, that takes priority on Royal Mail premises. Scans done when out of EE coverage shouldn't be a problem either, they are just stored until either network coverage is available or the pda gets back into Royal Mail wi fi coverage.
Could be there is some other problem, we have a few new pda's in our office with several a day going out to gain experience with them. The other day we had big problems logging on in the office and when we did get logged on couldn't download the delivery or collection routes. Every other day they have been perfect, log on quickly and instant download of routes and upload of events.
As far as can see the new ones are 100% better than the old ones (the navigation app is brilliant), might be a few teething problems but I reckon they'll be ok!
