Not much point in a "walk test" done by the coach unless the coach is going to deliver the walk everyday from now on.
And by going alone, you have no way of knowing if the coach...
Did the full quota of general indoor work for the day
Took all the parcels reasonable for a HCT duty, or were a lot of questionable oversize/overweights left for van drivers
Took "cold calling" D2Ds, or only where there was other mail
Took out an overweight HCT (~105Kg gross for a MkI) to avoid losing time by replenishing at the official bag drop
Had an unusually low workload (call rate, number of attendance calls etc.) compared to a normal day
Took a pouch out on delivery, when they are only required if duty has blocks of flats (then pouch must be <5Kg)
Left the HCT locked up, unattended for >10mins, braking official SSOW policy
Flicked through bundles of mail, getting mail ready for next address ("filtering") while on the move (breaking official H&S policy), instead of filtering while stationary {can easily add at least 2+ seconds per call}
Followed correct procedure for Delivery To Neighbour
Left parcels/mail in insecure places
Took their outdoor meal relief (typically 20mins)
Had to use the loo
etc. etc.

WALK TESTING
My opinion only. But perhaps the CWU should issue rules regarding walk testing to stop management and their minions takinng the p. If a member gunuinely thinks their duty needs testing then there should be an agreed process to follow. Not just the usual manager laugh in your face when you ask.
