This 'customer' supposedly took the time the find out the RM complaints telephone number and complained that they saw a postman using their mobile (on delivery walking NOT driving). Nice to know the public have our H&S at heart. :Applause
If this happens remind the customer or manager you have a legal right to reasonable contact with your family/outside world while at work and you were txting your Mrs to see if she was OK cause she has a cold/telling her what time you were going to finish/txting your plumber who needs to access your house etc etc etc.

Anyone else's PDA eerily rang....for you to answer ...and there's no one there...we've always been told there's no sim in them and although they say they're connected to Vodafone....it can't be used to call

If that's via a PC USB port they're leaving themselves open to dismissal.
Only last year someone in the West Country introduced a virus onto the processing LAN/WAN by thinking they were being clever by charging the phone in this way, and enough emails have been sent banning the practice.
Although not a risk in the same way, those Vape things mustn't be plugged in either, but like operators wearing headphones on the machines, the managers seem to neither know nor care what their responsibilities are towards such practices...

Carrying your mobile phone on your round?

Post by rsmith88 »

Hi. I'm just wondering, are you allowed to carry and bring your phone with you whilst doing your postman round?
Thanks
