If your lino comes and asks if you'll come in on your day off and do your own duty and you agree. Then it is the lino that has shafted the coverman not you.

The lino does the shafting while the low-life duty holder sniggers in the corner- is that what you mean ?
No i don't.
I don't do overtime but i have done the lino a favour or 2 when he's desperate and he's asked me to come in and do my own duty.
I like the job but i also like my day's off and i don't need the extra money but some people do.
So in this case it is the lino doing the shafting and not the duty holder.

Sorry but that's wrong on every conceivable level and if you can't see it there's no point in saying any more.

Many floaters have more seniority than guys on the one walk.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

I agree there are some in the D.O. i work in that went to the bottom of the list during the last repick due to been unable to drive which i think is unfair. RM should offer staff the option of free driving lessons as park and loop is not going away this would give all staff a pick at duties at their seniority. But that is for another thread.
And some staff just prefer to be a floater and have a different walk every day or week.
