Next time say you haven't got a vehicle available use. Don't bother arguing over insurance cover.
The travel money covers the fuel, it doesn't cover the depreciation and wear and tear on the vehicle, plus unforseen things happening, such as punctures and cracked windscreens, all mean YOU are out of pocket.

Really should have joined the union, probably won't get any assistance from them on this matter now.

Now he seems very confident that i am in the wrong but i have read on here alot on this subject and i was under the impression they need to provide me with transport,i even satated my car insurance is not covered etc but he said it was?
tell him not to call or text you on your day off

When you go in tmrw at 9am just tell the dom you are willing to go to another office but he will have to give you a van because you are not insured. Doing this seems reasonable and if possible do it with a colleague within earshot so the dom can't kick off
The dom has to believe what you are saying, it's your insurance. Maybe he will give you a van (if you've done changeover), otherwise he will just forget about it and you won't be asked to go to another office again, someone else will instead - this works in your favour. Getting into trouble over this is bullish*t, dom is trying it on with someone new at his office. Be strong, join the union and take a stand.

Insurance is irrelevant.

Did RM buy your vehicle? No

Then why should you use it for work in any way, shape or form? :arrrghhh

Unless you have been hired as a contracted driver on a self employed basis you will not have a contract stating that you will use your own vehicle.

Your managers options are:

a) They give you a daily bus pass.
b) They provide you with a RM vehicle to drive yourself there (If you have passed the RM driving test).
c) They drive you there and arrange for someone to drive you back.

All to be done within your working hours!

Accept no bullshit or they will treat you like a muppet forever more! :thumbup

I turned up at 9am and manager was nice as pie and took me to the other office, had an easy day actually and got back 30 mins early.Either he checked his facts and ate humble pie or he knew the facts all along and was just trying it on.
