Any office that had a revision more than 2 years ago should now have a revision on the increase in parcels, packets, deliver to neighbour, signed fors, increase in D2D - all the things that should be discussed on those nefarious resource meetings that never seem to take place.

So what if you only take a small amount of election stuff instead of the whole lot yesterday . Does that mean you Can claim ot what if you had 7 door to doors to get ready? What if guys get finished early for that day and took election stuff ,do they get penalised no . So if they are telling you you can't claim overtime ,instead of walking about till say 4pm ,you can say erm I'm cutting off then . It's all a complete joke .

No you can claim if you go over doing election stuff, as long as the reason was not the election stuff. Posted that quite a few times but here is the email from Dale Hadden, Head of IR http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... le#p641528" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

True but that was for the traffic stream then, when D2Ds were restricted to 3 items and parcels and packets was a third of what it is now. For offices that took on board the modernisation in good faith and had no experience to draw on for the revision process - well now they have and it's time for a rethink.

Tell the DOM (WITH WITNESS PRESENT)
I am going over today as there is too much , will you pay me O/T?
If he say's the old chestnut about election material say
Well I'm cutting off then
He will soon change his tune
Same with lapsing
Tell the DOM I'm not doing lapsing as I am working to my time on MY round
Lapsing isn't compulsory , only if you can do it in your own time
Never ask a DOM you TELL HIM

If you tell them before hand, do they have to take some off you or do you take it, do as much as you can then cut off and bring back what you can't do in your time?

Wrong! You don't tell him anything, if you are going to be over your time and want to finish on your time you ASK him how much and what you should leave in he decides - right or wrong it's his decision. If you haven't completed the designated amount you bring it back - the choice was his, the decision was his and the blame is his.

You follow whatever instructions give. All the alternatives you give are possible, plus there is also another option of making contact 1 hour before your finish time. Whatever happens, the answer they give you must be recorded somewhere, and I advise having a witness.

Reminds me of the Sky mags which would hit on a sat morning and NEED to be out that day. Rep says "don't prep them" so we left them on the floor by the frame. Doms door was closed for 30 mins and then a huddle with the rep. Result was 2hrs docket for about 20 mins extra work. Still finished before 9.30 :Applause
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
