People are committing benefit fraud.
People are possibly guilty of misconduct and putting their jobs on the line.
Knowing this and saying nothing makes you complicit in their wrongdoing possibly putting your job on the line as well.

The only people who don't like a grass are people doing wrong.

Pretty much everything that goes on in a DO should be of interest to a rep.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The two of them can get the sack and one one them might end up in prison or community service or fine and a criminal record.

The problem is that the Rep now knows about it and there must be people that knows the Rep knows about it... He should tell the posties to put an immediate stop to the whole issue but does not need to tell management...

Either way, the whole thing will reflect badly on the office and then the Rep if it became public knowledge. There might be more scrutiny of OTs especially Scheduled attendance - I bet RM will like to get rid of them in some places

Benefit cheats need to be strung up in my opinion. The rest of us have to work hard and make do with what we have. If you want to do the overtime.. Declare it and stop taking the benefits. If you still want the benefits don't do the overtime.
Also how can the honesty be trusted if the are defrauding the benefit system. There is a lot of trust in this job and I don't see how either can be trusted! :whistle

I disagree with your statement in knowing makes you complicit....until he opens his mouth, the only person who knows he knows....is himself...

I've worked for the business for 16 years...kept my nose relatively clean...and I uphold my statement in saying nobody likes a grass ....it gets you nowhere....loses you friends rapid, and your constantly spoken about amongst colleagues and completely untrusted

Yes...the two postman are doing wrong ...no denying that, but it sounds as if the original poster is making it his duty to decide the fate of the two.....if they're caught it's their problem(they'll have to deal with it) .....he sounds like the office "copper"

That 'one postman' chooses not to claim for certain SA work he does, so as not to lose working tax credit, is of no consequence.
I think that what 'one postman' is possibly guilty of conspiracy to obtain pecuniary advantage by fraud... Both are technically involved in a Revenue deception/benefit fraud.

The fact that someone is doin a few hours OT and signing it to someone else's name is the least of this countries problems
Couldn't agree with you more, mate!.... Just a heads up for the lads involved.
