It's past 5pm and the world hasn't ended but still not heard are we striking, have we settled upon a deal or just being taken for a ride by all concerned

If its on RMTV its usually propaganda and half truths/lies/b*llsh*t. Full of RM "drones" grinning inanely about how marvellous life is at RM and believing every word said to them.

Deadline cant even keep to that!! Either its a deal or not on the date given may as s well just go to th pub each night and chat about it !! I help myself to a 3 pound a week payrise the easy way

I have no confidence in either side to reach an agreement. Both would get a vote of no confidence from me.
That said, if a good deal was produced next week then I'd be happy.

Union executive meeting on Monday, chances are a new strike date will be announced, then its in Moya`s court to thrash out a deal

A week of intensive talks between CWU and Royal Mail reached its deadline today (Wednesday 20 November). Upon reaching this deadline the following statement has been issued:
'There has been further progress in the negotiations between Royal Mail and CWU. Accordingly, both sides have agreed to an extension of the ballot deadline to allow for talks to continue. This is the final extension and is agreed for a further seven days.
'The CWU postal executive will meet on Monday the 25th November to consider the detailed position and determine whether industrial action should be announced.'
There is no further public information at this time.
