Yeah that's what I do. :Very Happy

Does make you wonder what people think about having a ball of mush put through their letter box.

Another thing, I've wondered what the client who has paid for these to be delivered would think if he saw the condition some of them got delivered in.

You're lucky! This week we have 9! :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

This would never have happened if you were still paid under the old system of 1.67p per item.

There is no limit on D2D.
Recently advice was published with timings for 7 D2D.
There used to be a limit of six. When did it change and where I can see this agreement>?

What you do if you had s**t on your hand? I would get rid of it though the letter box I don't give two sh***s about the condition of junk mail nor do the forma customers of us.

What do you do if it's in tatters? It's the last thing on your bundle, it's getting rubbed, soaked and manhandled for 20 minutes and in an readable condition.

So, do you 'post' it through the letterbox or screw it up and stick it in your pouch to be put in the bin later .......... Then risk being sacked for wilful delay! :Very Happy
Use the tatty ones for houses you know to be unoccupied, that's what I do. :Very Happy

How does your office deliver D2D's? Do you do a row a day or a column a day? Our office does columns so your only doing short bursts of 20 every so often, that way even if it's chucking it down they are not in your hand for too long.

There's no standard method, everybody does it their own way. some fully load the frame on Saturday afternoon, some in columns, some in rows. I try and get as many in by Wednesday as I can, I only do three days but it's on the same round most of the time. I'll chat to the other postie who does the round and we work out what's best for each other. We try and get the frame clear of D2D's on Friday, more often than not we do. :)

Door to doors were ridiculous this week. Monday morning we had about 10-11 large boxes per walk with 4 lots. One lot were thick redcross envolopes with things inside including a free pen. They were that thick I could only.wedge about 80 into an empty bag and thats not including other 3 door to doors which were envoples,a monthly advertising mag and a 2 page leaflet. We have worked an hour over everyday this week and the dom wont pay overtime. If we cut off we will only have twice the amount the next day so its best to just work over and shift them.
Its getting beyond the joke especially when you already have two bags full on some loops. Maybe they should make a trolley that takes 3 bags at once. Pfttttttt

Don't mention the mail train loads of trolleys which you pull along! The only good thing is your legs will not hurt so much as your arms have fell off halfway round!

Then you cut off the next day as well :d'oh! If that then puts you over for the day following that, then you cut off again. Let the DOM worry about the cut offs. The DOM isn't going to put hours in whilst you're working an hour unpaid.

Well said mate that fellow is leaving himself open to wilful delay is he not just do your job to specification if you run out of time it is their fault not yours.
