We only need a couple off sick and the parcels stack up and it takes about four days to clear, so after most of the depot goes on strike it should be chaos. Bring it on.

better to go on strike on friday, then too much to deliver on the saturday, so more likely that more will cut off on the saturday so back log does not clear and rolls over onto monday tuesday where by posties more likely to accept a bit of over time those days to off set the loss of a days wage at end of week
I do despair sometimes at the degree of stupidity typified by these two posts.
If you are worried about losing a few days wages, in order secure your future earnings (your pension) then don't vote yes!! The whole point of striking, especially the rolling strikes, is to create a massive backlog, putting RM under pressure - from customers, politicians, etc - to settle the dispute.
You have to be prepared to sacrifice a few days pay now, for a deal that protects your future earnings, terms and conditions and pension. There is absolutely no point in going on strike and then offering to clear the backlog.

If you were facing a firing squad, you wouldn't offer to supply your executioner's bullets, would you? :arrrghhh
