Why do you think I left? I absolutely loved the job and working for the public good. But I hate seeing what was happening - and then they trained the guns on me, so I went onto something else.dvbuk55 wrote:
I have met capable managers but they took the golden handshake - being bright enough to see the writing on the wall and not wishing to kow tow to the present hierarchy..

This is obviously a period of flux and we have unfortunately been caught in the middle. I suppose it is the "end of Empire". No doubt things will reach an even keel eventually though I can't imagine anyone being happy with the end result.Ex RM Manager wrote: Why do you think I left? Many RM 'Managers' would not be managers in outside industry.
DOMs and MC 'Managers' would either be classed as Supervisors or Chargehands and many admin 'Managers' would be on technical or administraive grades.
Being a direct entrant Admin manager myself there are many issues in this dispute that affect us all and I believe that it is scandalous that the CMA/Unite have reached an agreement in principle when they should have been telling their members NOT to undertake work proper to another trade union.
PS I have NEVER volunteered to do strike work but have been INSTRUCTED to do so. If managers are working OT during this bought of IA they are very sad individuals. 2 years ago I would not have left for less that MTSF2 now I am considering TMA ...

Unity is strength
You are right budfrog, if managers were not doing posties work this dispute would be over quicker.

The timing of the offer was a PR stunt to attempt to devalue your IA and 'bribe' managers into performing CWU work ... nothing more.
