Its got various levels.

Its a failure. Or rather its where they put people who failed at being a manager, a postie or a planner. They then trot out various innovative :left: ways to slow down, or further complicate, a simple process. The level of previous failures can be gauged by the apparent educational level they think postal staff have when the idea is implemented, eg showing people how to walk is probably a sign of having failed at all 3 previously mentioned positions

Its a skive.

Its a sellout, and an expensive toy dreamt up by a flimflam man, swallowed whole by Graduate Managers because the snake oil salesman saw it as a political tool so he could say that he was engaging staff and listening to their concerns.

In essence borgpicard put it more succinctly than I did.

World Class Sh*t

Corporate jargon which fools no-one (apart from the slimeballs)
They have figures and diagrams all over the shop - which no-one reads.
Of course they will not/cannot tell you how much this has all cost/actually saved.

Day number whatever of WCM.

All the asswipes had a big meeting in the `new` WCM training room. ...lots of backslapping and high fives going on and more talks of cost cutting and the three C's and the such,my putting my head round the door and asking them if anybody wanted a choc ice was met with dirty looks and we will have to have a chat stares from the two bully boys from our management team.

After this meeting the said bully boys got all the underlings lino's to go round all the posties frames and remove any personal effects they might have(photo's of loved ones, cups, long service awards  etc.) as apparently in the said eariler WCM newsletter it mentions more bolloxs of:Employing 5S(sort,Set,Shine(Mr Sheen :hmmmm )Standardise ,Sustain(clean and organise) across the office.......so there you have it.

Coming to you soon.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!

I always believed that there would be a job for the working man.....who wasn't afraid of a hard days work. The man at the front line would always be the last to go because we needed him to do the proper job (In our case actually sticking letters through letterboxes).

I now realise that I've been very naive and with WCM we probably don't need any Posties, because there's obviously a better way to the job. I expect it's got something to do with computers! :hmmmm
