I'm not getting you wrong. I realise you don't like the leadership of the CWU, and I'm not too impressed either. You accused me of sticking up for them. I don't, but to refer to Dave Ward in the manner you did was wrong.

how??where was the leadership when he decided to suspend the strikes?so many old heads on here could see it was a ploy by RM management.......how come he couldnt?

I'm not arguing with you. They were sold a dummy by Royal Mail and they fell for it, but you wanted to know if Dave Ward was getting paid while we're on strike. All I said was that I didn't know, and suggested you ask him. You decided to play the angry young man when all you had to do was keep a level head and E-mail him for the answer. Whatever we think of Dave Ward, or anyone else at the top of the union, calling him a t*** is out of order because you only assume he's getting paid. You don't know if he is or not and neither do I. For all we know, he might be donating it to a charity. You should have got the facts before using such language about the man.

sorry man thats all i can say!im 25 enterered as a cadet n the "job for life" i left ma last work for is going toilet n it feels like theres nowt i can do to stop it!sorry for venting my frustrations on u iww ive read posts by u before n they are usually bob on.its a hard time for all....we should be sticking together not blowing our top at each.much love n solidarity mate :cfo :lfo

lads it might be worth remembering other people apart from us posties read this site!
If they see us arguing and loosing rags with each other they will think we are divided in our unity!
All we want is our pensions left alone and RM to contribute towards them!
No flexibility and later starts
and a pay rise to reflect on inflation to give us a better wage to survive on.CWU have lead us through more s**t from management and fought for, and with us all the way over the years, and they will continue to into the future.

Sorry mate! I don't feel sorry for being a senior man and having over 30 years in the job. I do feel sorry for blokes like you Poppapump cos you don't seem to be able to see past the end of your own nose.

You can slag off who you like but you ought to make sure who your enemies are first. I tell you now it's not the likes of me or Dave Ward. We were fighting for terms and conditions to be improved while you were still having your ar*e wiped. Take your anger out on the people who deserve it; the bloody managers. They'll be enough fighting for you to do soon enough. Get yourself together and look at who are the real enemy

i dunno like i see senior guys pissing about reading papers n doing crosswords while mail could be going thru there machines........just because they dont want a town plan!!!i maybe misguided but a lot of the older guys i work with have the attitude that theyve done there lifes work us young guys will pick up the slack.........never used to bother me until i realised that these guys are getting hte same wage as me.....n im digging them oot!!!i hope that explains why im so angry........but i do apoligise for tarring all senior men wi the same stick.

In my office its the senior men that bust a gut, an the newer peeps are of a lower quality an thats why Royal Mail wanna pay us less. Sometimes i wish they'd at least do minimum effort but thats too much to ask. When i stop for a mo, i got a screw on me back because they push me in2 performance. The quality of postman has droppd in my office an this coincides with the rise of ethnic minorities in my office. BTW i aint no rascist, but im gonna start using the "its because im english white" card soon.

moon i so hear that!!!ive got a wee polish guy that cant do enuf work........n a nigerian guy who wants to do even less than minimum...who btw got his nights of mixed up during the first strike!!!!but has a phd n a masters!!!!n cant work out when his night off is!!its indicative of royal mail at the mo!!the job we all(despite our difference of opinion)ALL care about
