That the new pension scheme we've all been put into is "unaffordable" going forward.

You know, the one that replaced the one with the "£8bn" deficit......

Apparently once privatised the current contributions would be deemed unacceptable.

Royal Mail are due to make an announcement in the next few weeks, maybe dingo may enlighten us......

Better get those BBQ 's ready folks.

Pay
Privatisation
Unfair competition
Workplace issues
Pension.

All massive issues.

It's very dangerous when Branch Officials with no financial expertise pass on "snippets" of information about pensions to members.

There are issues with the pension but these should be communicated to the members in a professional manner without scare stories that could cause members to make rash decisions that could lose them a great deal of money.

It's time for the trustees to step up and call Royal Mail out on their plans for the pension,The uncertainty is unfair on the members of the various schemes.

I agree but in the cold light of day we know we are going to get shafted one way or another.

It's worrying

We(pre-2010 staff) will probably end up with a poorer overall pension.
It will still be a better pension than most.
It will definitely still be many times better than the crappy DC pension new starts(post 2010) get from Zurich.
Even that s**t is better(slightly) than no pension.
It's all relative.
