Yes Rob, thanks for that pearl of wisdom - however what happens when the revisions have been in for two years and the footprint of the product has changed from the original, I mean is there going to be a re-revision on the strength of being able to identify the changes. No I didn't think so.DB1100 wrote:"Delivery
Rob said it was crucial that we accurately identify the number of parcels being delivered and plan properly, so enough time was allocated to delivering them.
‘It’s vital that we get all that right and, if we get it right, then these routes do work and the time is there to deliver them."
And then give us the smallest vans possible to get them in.

Exactly, when we started p&l in 2011 we completed no problem every day, but now packets are up so much we regularly have to cut off.dvbuk55 wrote:Yes Rob, thanks for that pearl of wisdom - however what happens when the revisions have been in for two years and the footprint of the product has changed from the original, I mean is there going to be a re-revision on the strength of being able to identify the changes. You can understand why, it would mean bringing the planner back in to redo the deliveries and seeing as there is still 700+ still to modernise in any shape or form that's not going to happen. I don't know if anyone could have forecast the extent of the increase in packets and parcels but it has been on the increase for some time and there doesn't seem to be a plan in place to adjust previous delivery revisions to account for it.OnAFlyer wrote:Exactly, when we started p&l in 2011 we completed no problem every day, but now packets are up so much we regularly have to cut off.dvbuk55 wrote:Yes Rob, thanks for that pearl of wisdom - however what happens when the revisions have been in for two years and the footprint of the product has changed from the original, I mean is there going to be a re-revision on the strength of being able to identify the changes. I thought the plan was to give all the big ones to ParcelForce and hike up the price of the small ones so everyone goes to a courier.dvbuk55 wrote: I don't know if anyone could have forecast the extent of the increase in packets and parcels but it has been on the increase for some time and there doesn't seem to be a plan in place to adjust previous delivery revisions to account for it.
No need for a planner. No need to redo the revision.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
