Newbies and Overtime

A manager at our office has had drink drive offenses in the past when he was a postman and is currently banned from driving for drink driving so hopefully you will be OK.

all the part timers joining thinking they can survive on 20 or 30hr pay well they are wrong all they are doing is destroying the job for the full timers all full timers jobs are being replaced by part timers when a full timer leaves or gives up and then the part timers want to live of overtime well that will all change when they do the next revision just wait

You're so deluded, the business is heading full speed into prvatisation as we speak. R.M. are only interested in part timers for that very reason, they are trying everything possible to get rid of full timers in our area. In no way is it the fault of the part timers.

From one trivial case we had one full timer suspended and two sacked. One looks likely to win Unfair dismissal & has had out of court offers but too late to be offered reinstatement.
I was at R.M. full time before our DIM was born,I was suspended recently for a completely unfounded allegation that was thrown straight out. Whilst innocently suspended, my wife as well as me went through hell. Mid fifties No JOB-NO REFERENCE!

I don't know what you think will happen to benefit full timers at your next revision, the way forward in this industry is Part Time Only.After privatisation you'll be asked to sign a new contract; 20 hours at minimum wage to stay on or leave. Simple.
