Neither my partner or I, have given him any reason to say this. But this is what he's been doing already! Might have a problem...I'm a full-time driver, part-time can't cover me.....yet!
Its all prob just talk with them , u know what they are like.. Hope you get well soon..Good luck..

RM does have professonial scivvers , yes ;some do play the system for the extra weeks leave, to some it's just a game . However there's more than a few managers that do this as well, all they know is the Post Office , everything is within a very narrow box and there's a lot of resentment about Double Standards .
RM do pick their victims very carefully as bullies do , there's people we know are working elsewhere and have "good " doctors , problem is the imbecillic 6th form, political correctness reminiscent of loony left councils in the 80's, plenty of moral cowardice there ? .Problem is the braindead Royal Mail Machine can't sort the wheat from the chaff , one idea and that comes from AL , the cancer that infects the whole RM management culture all the way down.
A Private Firm would get rid of the muppets and knumbnuts but not in the underhand & botched way that RM use as they can't afford to be in Tribunals or in the papers or on on-line forums . Nor would they have so much dated politics.RM also have hack cowboy jobbing doctors that get reported to the GMC and cited in ET's. Sorry this is a bit tired all this is all your own fault , have a few days off for nice days or heavy nights out . So Internet Hardman , if you tar us all with the same brush we'll tar your lot. Hard Attitudes means Hard Choices .

I think your confusing me with a RM manager I`m not, or ever held a position higher than a PHG .
IF you turkeys are going to moan about something then please don`t be shocked when somebody pulls people up over comments.

Do you not agree that we have a good(notice I didn`t say great)sick procedure.
My mrs doesn`t get paid if she is off,she has to send in a Self certificate and then gets fook all the week after.
And yet we get 6months PAID sick cover and then 50% for 6 months, theres not that many firms around these days that do that.
Like I said you have to be pretty thick to get to a stage 3 sackable.

You might have a point about stage three ,but why tar everyone with the same brush? Circumstances could result in genuine absences
Those sickpay rules could change if royal mail get their way,God forbid conditions might end up the same as your mrs.

why shouldn't we have a decent sick pay system, i bet crozier and leighton dont get the sack for missing a few days. The rest of workers should be topped up to our system, not ours chopped down to theirs. with that argument, why not give us the minimum wage too??

Its a tough job no wonder people who feel knackered take a few off here and there. The stress in our office has shot up through the roof due to all the changes and bullying that accompanes it but management just poo poos that sort of illness as not real, and try to get other workers to chime in. i know there are days where i have felt like low as f**k about having to go in and face the music for yet another day. we should be defending people who go sick for whatever reason.

more importantly it protects people who really do get sick HH. For instance how many people do you know that go off sick with a back injury, get pressured to come back on "light duties' day in and day out, because they are a "numnut" (in reality they are not, just they are under pressure from managers, are afraid of getting sacked) they then come back, get pressured to go back on their full walk within days of coming back, get injured again and have to go off sick - and as a result they are on stage 2 or 3 before they know it.

lets keep the sick system and fight for new starters to have it too, for better sick pay in the post and nationally, not run it down with arguments stratight from the management text book!
