do the job properly

Post by mallyjames1 »

always have a witness(rep or collegue)when you inform the manager you are not workin past your finish time.he or she could have you on a wilful delay charge otherwise as it would be your word against theirs.Who do you think the dom would back.

Our office is bringing it in soon as well,ah well the gravy train is pulling out of the station.

As flexibility is definitely a brown-nosers charter, gravy is about the right colour for said working method.

I know the union are dead against this during the turbulence, but in some of my colleagues comments, it will just make their day that much longer, were they to leave their motor at the delivery office.

Doesn't bother me personally, as I am a van driver anyway.
On the subject of private cars on delivery for those idiots that continue to defy the union line on this issue just remember that every person who does take their own car out on delivery they have to produce or supply the following to management.

* Private Vehicles (Interim Arrangements) (WE STD5 part b)
* Employee Declaration
* Current / valid MOT
* Current / valid car insurance (including business use insurance)
* Current / valid driver's licence
* Current / valid Tax disc
* Current / valid vehicle registration document

The Royal Mail spiel on this is - What we need to do for legal and company compliance (Deliveries),
Using your car on delivery is convenient for you and for the business. Like with every task there are H&S risks that need to be addressed as well as compliance with legislation and company policy. The checks that have to be carried out are predominantly to ensure your safety whilst doing the work and also the safety of others.

Oh yeah says them! Try having your mail knicked from your private vehicle when you don't have business use insurance and see how you get on.

cars on delivery

i work at the infamous watford delivery office and 13 weeks ago we took our cars off delivery no more good will,we started to do the job properly.I won`t lie its been tough getting used to finnishing at2pm the hanging around waiting for the driver to drop off pouches.The mayhem it`s caused is amazing just doing the job properly is having a greater effect than striking,if all delivery postie`s up and down the country got out their car`s and into the van`s the effect in just 1 week would bring the whole network to a standstill.It`s a new way of doing our job but it might just save our job`s

of course doing the job properly will be the most effective tool. The sooner EVERYONE realises this the better. Im not worried about waiting around for drop bags, gives me a chance to just chill, maybe send a text message to a mate or have a sarnie ive taken out with me. I find doing the job properly is so much less stressful than rushing around to make 30 minutes.

at watford we realise that there are other office`s doing the job properly but the problem is there arn`t enough office`s doing it.The 1`s that arn`t have to get their head`s out of the sand and join us and not let a few of us take the flake that rm are throwing at us.I realy do think that this is our best way to fight the idiot`s in charge and doing the job properly mean`s no postie`s lose money.
