In my opinion that's probably more of a lifestyle decision than a financial one.
But as Lincox says, it's an individual choice.

You will incour a charge for moving your pension pot elsewhere..

You cannot get access to you pension untill 55 at the present time..

The state pension may well be a lot different in years to come in what you get and at what age...

If you do not pay enough for 30 years contributions you do not qualify for full state pension... it used to be 40 years....

To choose to increase you dependance to benefits living... depends on how much or little you wish out of life..

The government have expressed the desire to reduce benefits ....

Most people are better off with both pensions RM and statepensions... together a nice income each month and a lovely lump sum as well....

Forget benefits work to better yourself and hopefully retire early ...You mainly get out of life whatever you put in..... cheap dental care and lower coucil tax is hardly a good enough reason to exist on benefits and a state pension.... its nice to have 20k - 30k lump sum when you are older....and a RM pension and a state Pension .... and enjoy yourself ..thats the real benefit.

Not always, but moving a salary based pension into a 'money purchase' arrangement is almost always a bad move.

Unless it's on ill health grounds.

It used to be 39 years for women and 44 for men.
