Well it certainly wont be my figure generating a imposing physical presence that scares the planner into submission. I'm rapidly turning into Little Daz :Very Happy :Applause :thumbup

Give over BD you've not been conned into dieting by the missus - I can see it all now, especially in your neck of the woods - lettuce for breakfast, lunch and dinner quaffed down with mineral spring water - still of course................even CO2 has calories apparently. :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

On a serious note though good luck with the revisions - I'm pretty sure you'll be clued up on the tools BUT they have a habit of suddenly finding some obscure install you haven't heard of.

Or they just ignore you and the IR framework and carry on regardless.
And then expect you to sign it off to give it a thin veneer of union agreement.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Or as in our case the rep wouldn't sign it off but the Area Rep did - it's pretty much in the bag once the planners involved.

Ours appears to be pretty much 'working'. The answer is simple. A lot of the new walks are the same as the old or even shorter. The problems occur with the few that are much longer.

The problem in ours is that they keep trying but the walks were to big before they started, this is from previous revisions,so we don't stand a chance.

if you are clever you can get a good revision in...we still have all our bikes and no shared vans...we never work over our times and get little or no hassle...but do the members appreciate all the hard work that was put in??? NO..
having a decent planner in helps and having a rep with his or her eye on the ball really helps...

Some failed revisions have nothing to do with laziness.
Some offices and areas are managed by complete tossers and some by semi decent managers.
Some of the tossers have swapped areas with the decent managers lately.
Some areas have had,are having or will have a culture shock.
There are no good revisions...only bad revisions that haven't happened yet. :cuppa

We had a pre revision brief this morning
We were informed that once we are up and running (hopefully not literally) we should only be completing within our contracted hours about 1/3rd of the time - the revisions are designed to fail (at least) 8 months of the year!

my question is this if the revisions are deigned to fail, and it seems so many are...
...shouldn't they really be deemed a success?

I apologise for this brain teaser, it's just I'm struggling to get my head round it

Using the low model week and flexing up,a revision is deemed to be working if the volunteers match the cut offs and no-one is being forced, pressured, intimidated or bullied into working over...and the work gets cleared daily...using the proper equipment...and members are taking their breaks and starting on time.
Sound likely? :cuppa

Most revisions that I can see are designed to fail, if you make a duty that is 100% and based on a low model week then any increase or slight disruption in the mail will result in a failure, still, I just don't care anymore, I have 8 hours to work a day (or 7 hours 48 minutes) and I won't be working any more than that.

And if the planners ever turn up then it would be a start.
