10 Avoid going up and down kerbs wherever possible by using lowered access points. Are they having a laugh
11 When loading the folded LWT into a vehicle the correct method is to lift by the handle supporting the underneath of the LWT before placing it into the agreed storage space in the vehicle with the wheels always going in first. Agreed storage space , there is just about enough room for the bags and parcels
Nobody's having a laugh, if you cannot perform your duty using the Safe System Of Work for the delivery method equipment then another delivery method needs deploying.
A charge of failure to follow a SSOW will be classed as Gross Misconduct which can result in immediate dismissal!

So for the lions share of most of my duties i cant use it when its been snowing?
What am i s'posed to do then? Lightweight pouch?
You never see a horse pushing a cart, uphill or down.
LWT's are very unstable especially when going up and down kerbs and on rough roads, didn't one guy break a wrist when it twisted on him. we were told to put mail in one side, and packets in the other, this makes them even more unstable !!. Most of them are left in the yard in our DO and people have gone back to pouches, on the shoulder.
If you look at the American version of the LWT it has three wheels and a brake !

as i said in a previous post our dom told us not to use the lwt in order to guarantee completion time. this is a failure to follow SSOW, and advising people to leave themselves open to gross misconduct. our rep shouldve jumped on that one, but then again theres one rule for management and theres us.

A HCT was ideal for the round but it was changed to LWT after P/L
Pulling the trolley makes more sense to me but unfortunately the handle is too short or my stride is too long, the wheels kept hitting my heels! So I have to push it.
