doesn't sound so bad when you hear his reasons...... and he doesn't do this every week.
Thats approximately 6.2 drops per min for a 3 1/2 Hr delivery span. Doesn't seem right to me.

Wonder if the reason he has 1300 drops has anything to do with him cutting the job up for years previously, thus giving the bosses all the ammunition they need to make it so big? Even if it was a result of screwed up revision one things for sure, he ain't going about things the right way if he wants it cut down to a more manageable size! :arrrghhh

Even so it still means a hell of a lot of D2D's and a large amount of parcels even if the standard mail can be delivered quickly!

Firstly, the delivery of D2Ds is contracted for a particular week. To delivery them outside of that week is breaking the terms of the contract and, in theory, the customer could withold payment.

Secondly, as the postie in question finished at 3pm, was this later than the finish time for the office? If so, he would be unable to claim any overtime.

Some people are just plain dumb!

Any time that your colleague “gained” today was time lost on Saturday.

I take it that you still have job & finish in your office, otherwise it would all be a bit pointless but, none the less, your colleague needs to bear in mind if management become aware of him finishing 2 hours early they are likely to look for ways to fill his time productively.

However, all of this is largely irrelevant; the salient point here is that the D2Ds were not delivered during the contracted week. It is not up to us to decide during which week they will be delivered. We don’t get to pick and choose when. Neither early nor late is acceptable.

By delivering them outside of the contracted week he opens himself up to charges of failing to perform to the required standard.

So yes, he’s the stupid one.

I've been up to the Mail Centre and got next weeks D2D.
On my way to work now to start prepping them for next week.

WTF is wrong with some people?
