People aren't getting the same service.
If a SG doesn't arrive before 1pm on a saturday it's refund time.
If a normal SD doesn't...it isn't.
Different service.
From our point of view it makes no difference.

You can get a refund if an sd arrives after 1pm on a weekday

yeah the sender can
i doubt many senders care what time it arrives, as long as it gets there next day, its the recipients that get pissy if its not there before 1pm, in fact if its not there before 10am sometimes!

I think you will find its a failure on the PDA if its after 1pm

I didn't say it wouldn't fail on the PDA.
I said the sender won't get a refund with a normal SD if it's delivered after 1pm on a saturday.

In our office SD's on a Saturday are treated the same as on a Monday to Friday-deliver before 1pm

yes,the system is exactly the same
once allocated to delivery,the same procedures are required
this is why you have a callers office setting on the PDA
so the time doesnt apply on collected SDs

Intresting situation today, a SG stickered special for delivery on a Monday, which as the duty holder I know I was not given on Saturday from the caller's office. Compensation for the sender, anyone (as long as it was posted before the collection deadline on Friday, of course)?

happens all the time that SG SDs come through on the Monday
not much the DOs can do
