Yeap, complicit. Our office has a tag team of bullies in charge. Each s**t scared of being found out, being found out they're incompetence. Some have had action taken against them but they still strut about the office like they own it terrified of loosing face. The office is not run by any kind of system of respect.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Bullying managers are the worst kind of people and the Union and Royal Mail HAVE TO DO SOMETHING about it soon as its dragging the company down.bedfordrl wrote:Sounds like harassment to me.
Royal Mail are complicit in this as they bang the drum about OPGs bullying but do the 3 wise monkeys act when it comes to managers.![]()

Re: Part timer meeting free
One of my major gripes, this business of WTL before everyone is in the office...
If Tuesdays workload allows time for training, what is the difference between holding it at 0930 when everybody is in (and gettting the early starters to prep/work until then) and holding it at 0730 when only FT are in?

It's in the Delivery Duty Design principles.

Work Time Listening and Learning
Each Delivery Employee must have a weekly 30-minute WTL session as a national standard. This must be included when planning duties. The majority of Delivery Offices currently hold their WTL sessions on days when traffic volumes are traditionally lighter. In most cases this is currently Tuesday. However, in larger offices, the number of sessions needed to be held in order to fulfil the weekly requirement of one 30-minute session per employee results in sessions needing to be held on the other days of the week

Not complaining really, can be in and out delivering within 10 or 15 minutes on good days! Though they keep dicking me about with regards to start times and I have done a full prep and deliver on a number of occasions.docket wrote:Come to LS8.2 WTL sessions of 45mins each.First one starts 8.15 or later.F*cks-up every Tuesday for us.New DOM arriving soon so hopefully this will change.kawoxux wrote:PT for 7 months now, never been to a WTL meeting

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Part timer meeting free
Problem solved. Mentioned this to a manager, it's the workplace coach who is responsible for training she said. Therefore there's no problem and nothing needs to, nor will, be done. Excellent. Only, I stressed that I'm to receive 30 minutes per week WTLL and it's to be built into my week. We didn't feel like answering that so we walked off. Really, honestly, the office and royal mail culture is so far gone from anything resembling a healthy workplace. One more time, we look after our people haha haha, actually I'm bored of Royal Mails utter contempt for me and other workers. Rant ends.
