royal mail footwear

Post by yougogal »

I loathe and detest the boots and shoes we are issued with. My feet are knackered from wearing the bloody things, in that i mean ive got a permanent numb area on both big toes, pressure sores and my feet itch like buggery when i take em off coz they don't let yer feet breathe. Oh they arnt waterproof either! Can anyone recommend a decent alternative to these pedicular instruments of torture?

Combat high boots if you can get them for winter. I've had mine for 4 years and although they can take a few days to wear in they are brilliant, light, waterproof and yet let your feet breathe. For any squadies out there that remember them they are a lot better than those old DMS boots.

Yeah the new ones I received had pebbles in them to slow you down, and an anchor point to chain you to a frame, also they have done away with shoe laces to many people trying to string themselves up in the canteen along with the lonely 150" LEIGHTON LCD CAM, also no laces just slip ons as so many agency staff are pulling up with there carpet slippers on.

Agency staff at TQ1 TQ2 today, they had so many that they could not find work for they had the poor devils sweeping the yard at accelerartion time talk about health safety.[/center]

I've been given some Magnum shoes and they seem fine, I've had them for a week and don't know if they're waterproof but they are comfy (I stretched one of them a bit to make it fit my toes right) and they're a bit like trainers.
