funny we in marple get our sequenced mail at 7.30

I work nights sequencing mail,
we sequence for 4 offices, furthest away get priority.
On the "2nd wave", the lorry driver comes to collect the sequenced mail for the office thats furthest away at about 06.30
2nd furthest at approx 06.50
3rd at about 07.30
obviously u have to add travelling time to that,

No, breaks are not to be at the start of the working day or end of the working day.

they bend the rules a bit but yes they do. you have to have a break, no saying when that break will be. i like many of you used to have mine at the end of the shift, they didnt complain when i did.

The government do say that it should be somewhere in the middle of the working day, so whilst some in Royal Mail may turn a blind eye to people taking it when they want, they cannot dictate you taking it at the start of the day, or at the end.

you can go 5 hours here without a break and whats going to happen when you want to go to the toilet especilly if you on a rural. they going to say thats part of your meal relief ?? i already know some d.c. that got spies round and if you caught having a fag thats part of your meal relief. its wrong, so wrong
