Perhaps then the DBF should be done away with and all packets should go straight into drivers' yorks.Lounge Lizard wrote: Yes, loads of them and can't find any of the proper ones with hooks.

This is where the clearly oversize packets go as the walking postie won't be able to deliver them.fishtank wrote:[

The walking postie will then add "doublers" and any packet he feels won't fit in a given bag.
The driver will then return packets to the walking postie he doesn't want to do (flats, one-way streets, known houses with dangerous dogs, anyone they don't think will be in) resulting in unbridled levels of animosity between the two.
Isn't this the agreed procedure in all DOs?

We have no "drivers" so we have no "drivers yorks".TrueBlueTerrier wrote:The smaller half size onesfishtank wrote:What's a "drivers york".clashcityrocker wrote:Perhaps then the DBF should be done away with and all packets should go straight into drivers' yorks.Lounge Lizard wrote: Yes, loads of them and can't find any of the proper ones with hooks.![]()
All packets are the responsibility of the p&l pair.

Re: Smaller Mail bags now being produced.
I hate it when the walkers know you have a large parcel for an address then proceed to give you the mail and any other small packet that will fit through the box. They don't seem to realise that small stuff like that is thrown around the back of the van and then the driver spends 10 mins trying to hunt for said items

I agree with doing away with the DFB and moving to individual yorks for each delivery, would do away with having to empty the frame 3 or 4 times a day.

I think space may be an issue using yorks for all packets. We've 100+ walks in my office and having a york each for small packets may be a bit of a problemDGP1 wrote:I agree with doing away with the DFB and moving to individual yorks for each delivery, would do away with having to empty the frame 3 or 4 times a day.

Why would we need bigger offices when the mail is dropping offDGP1 wrote:Just need bigger offices thenStormproof wrote:I think space may be an issue using yorks for all packets.
