Ah i forgot management dont like efficientcy in delivery :Very Happy

The "easier" our job is the longer your delivery would need to be to sustain your job and the less jobs there would be.
Our worst nightmare would be these "community postboxes" that countries like Australia are trialling.
i would rather have a difficult sustainable job than no job.

Once you've delivered the mail you can't manage to shut the Rotten piece of crap! And then some Senile Old Git comes out and has a go at you because you've left his gate open!

The local council here put out some information that they were looking at putting a mail box for each flat at the bottom of the smaller i.e. 3 floor buildings. I thought all my Christmas's had come at once! BUT there was such a sh*tstorm of protests from the residents that it got quietly forgotten about. Would have taken 30 to 40 minutes off my walk.... Sigh!

The only gate I lock is when I'm the last one back on a Saturday. :Very Happy

Had one elderly gentleman in our town who habitually complained about the postie leaving his gate open, even when the postie was adamant he hadn't. He even stuck up an offensive notice on his gate directed at his regular. Then one night after another abusive complaint his whole gate got stolen from his house and was never seen again......i did hear a few sniggers about it the next morning but never any confessions! :hmmmm

LOL I had a similar problem with some geezer with a rusty gate and a scabby garden shouting at me to shut the 'f***ing gate and ringing in to complain when I ignored him left it open and walked off, I gave some kids a fiver to nick and chuck it in the canal, the tosser still hasn't replaced it.
