We had an office like yours near to us during their revision they had 8 duties taken out in an office of 40 the rep from that office bragged the same as you at our quarterly meetings, don't think he will be bragging at the next one.
Not bragging, don't worry we had our revision and got propper f****d, had duty taken out staff not replaced. We book loads of overtime in our office. Every round is over. To rub salt in the wounds when the round were changed the fella who did the geo routing for them even said none of them would get done in their time if they were done by the book. We have managers ringing up all the time complaing about the overtime and say they're coming down to have a word with us. We say come down then, we're still waiting. They won't come down coz they'll realise they've messed up and have to do some proper work for once and sort it out.

Well if it was my business that is the way I would think but it doesn't work that way in our office but as I've said we don't have a manager situated in our office to make this happen.

It's common sense for a manager to send us back out if we finish early and there is work left in the office for whatever reason.
It's happend at my place before and toys were thrown out of prams by my colleagues.
Lifes a bitch.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

And that will probably be rectified in the next round of rationalisation programmes. All small non managed offices will be amalgamated into larger managed units with all elements of the agreements implemented.

ok lets put it this way then you come in early dont take a break take short cuts and run round to finish early, so lets say it takes you 4.05hrs your dim says right your pay for that day is 4.05 for hours worked is that ok, yes he his right to send you back out to work your FULL hours you are paid for 8hrs work so he wants 8hrs out of you, end of the day all you flyers are going to do is cut more jobs hope its your. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Lets get this straight.

1.We never come in early.

2.Nobody signs out in our office,Never have done,Maybe 4 or 5 and thats it,I never have in 16 years.

3.They made the rounds bigger and told us on week 1,As long as you do the round and parcels i am happy.

4.Clear office? A few of the slow posties have never even touched parcels,We were made to do some of them.

So basically the slow piss taking c***s do less,The harder working are forced to do their leftovers if back too soon,Hahaha.

Also 2 lads agreed to do 3 hours of parcel overtime when they got back,I heard before they got back an hour early yet they are allowed to go out and start their parcels straight away and still be paid 3 hours overtime,I would put a grievance in but why put a target on your head,Every dog has his day,I always have mine.

Who's going to take the piss when they are being tested ghost?...think about it.
You do this job properly...you don't need to take the piss.
Why do you think managers hardly ever test walks?...in almost every case it takes longer than they think.
These guys are just smarter than you...that's what's pissing you off but don't feel bad about it..you can only play with the cards you have. .
