Our rep is reportedly in discussion about adding more to our walks rather than lapsing - never been discussed with us lesser mortals, fkin joke! Means doing it Saturday too, plus of course you can guarantee that figures will be down in a very short time so we'll have to lapse again - we've already been shafted once because of a s**t deal. I thought rep was short for REPRESENTATIVE not REPROBATE!!
And still waiting for weight off shoulder, one hour less a week, working less Saturdays, bonuses, etc, etc.. Where are they indeed? They need to be in RM's face about this now and every day, not f***ing about with other s**t.
Oh as for freeloader Hayes; 11th May - gave a talk to prison officers association, and the list of speeches goes on, perhaps his blog should show what he is doing for us?? (or would it be blank?)
Your rep can talk about as much as he likes so long as he reports back to the mbrs and gets clerance for changes that would increase your workload.
As for Billy well his role is to be our chief political spokesperson which is why we dont have a national political officer, just branch and regional. Look at the CWU rule book for GS role and rewrite it and send it to your branch office and ask for it to be brought to the attention of the branch committee with a view of adopting it as branch policy to go forward to the next available annual conference. You may even get invited to conference by the branch as a trainee delegate and have the opportunity to present your rule change to conference and persuade conference to vote for it. In fact ask the branch if you can do that.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: cwu where are you
I dont recall any mention of policy for ownership of Royal Mail Group. All we could assume going into GE 2010 was that the Tories were still in favour of the aborted PSB of 2009.dvbuk55 wrote:

Ah yes! I see you missed the point.................which is....................what are the chances of changing a policy if it wasn't in the mind of the leadership to accept the change?Big Daz wrote:I dont recall any mention of policy for ownership of Royal Mail Group. Re: cwu where are you
Remote I would say.
With the two hooper reports and the lib dem manifesto to justify their actions the only hope for preventing a sell off is a back bench rebellion from Tory and Lib Dem MP's.
Of course some luck can be had changing the sections of the PSB that do not involve selling RMG.

Yes
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
