superteamu

It's the packets they need to count, not the letters, packets take up time, writing out 739s, waiting for inept customers to answer the door, honestly, how long does it take to put Jeremy Kyle on mute and walk to the front door, you'd think half these jokers live in 15 bedroom houses and they were in the furthest away from the front door room when we rang! lol

We are now cart horses, to lumber weight around, we are surplus to requirements......simple as!

The point is they can do whatever ridiculous, nonsensical, unreliable, made up test they like...it's their time they are wasting after all.
But they cannot do a thing with the figures these tests produce....they are simply a bullying tool.
The most important thing is to make members aware just how pointless these tests are, therefore completely rendering the test and bullying ineffectual....even laughable.
Once management realise they are not having the desired effect...they will disappear.
Knowledge in this case...is certainly power.
But if the screws were to take us down the conduct code and come out with figures that make us look like we're fecking about then we would be on a wilful delay charge.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We are also getting tortured in this manor.
Our rep in his wisdom signed off one division in our office
And is phasing the rest in
Which effectively means there is five van shares ,none of
Which are even close to working
They are hitting us with every bullying tactic imaginable
None of the van shares are allowed a tea ,while the rest of office is
They are constantly testing us,following us,threatening us with conduct
One to ones with about every manager in the office
This may I add has been goin on from november!!
We also have the telemetry vans and have had managers
From other offices walk round with us
No sign of them goin away
All this because they Fu@@ed up
I also have it in writing we will be conducted if performance doesn't improve
Knowledge may well be power but there are a few of us very worried about
Our jobs,
It has also been said on here ,the rep is only as strong as office.
We have stood together during this and I'm afraid to say the rep hasn't done a thing
Headquarters need to sort this situation very soon

The conduct code is an agreed procedure, the use of throughput tests aren't.
How could you mix the two?
That's like saying Royal Mail have decided to count each sick day as twelve and take you down the attendance procedure.
Employment Tribunals are not the saviour that everyone thinks they are but they will usually find in your favour if agreed procedures have been bypassed.
We have agreed performance standard tests and procedures that follow failure.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

no internet when you're in the cells ......again

Seriously it is nasty that style of " management " ...we will have you on any trumped up charge , it's to soften people up and knock the stuffing of out of staff ....to create a culture of fear ...union bashing as all these private outfits are slavedrivers ....they're not managers ...just too clever by half sh***hawks ! ....been there , bought the T Shirt

superteamu10 wrote:The only 'big' meeting going on that I care about was mine today at my grievance meeting against the DOM.

She is following a policy of blaming any non completing of delivery and ext dly claims on us being too slow. She did mine by selective counting. ie not counting most of it.

It's just simply bad management and the Area Rep argued the case of only 1 min prep tests allowed etc, yet within an hour of the meeting she was telling my colleague that she would be counting his mail tomorrow and will start on counting everybodys.

I think this may be different to actually prep testing, but unless you counted the mail on each individual walk on the same day, then I can't see how it can be accurate, also I believe that whatever figure she gets she will manipulate it so that it will look bad on the people like me who stand up to her bullying.

We shall see what happens tomorrow.

same happemed to me after a strike day.
unfortunatley for any amnager they get to know about it at every oportunity and i also let em know i refuse to be bulied again.

My fault I ignored the bailiffs letter, still I don't think 100 Top Shelf magazines is enough reason to lock yourself in, as a protest.
He had to change hands after 100 according to rumour :chuckle :chuckle
