If they're still dismissive about it start quoting the data protection act at them, assuming your solicitor hasn't already. I'm pretty sure that by law they have to show you any information they have on you; dog bites included.

Bit of a hijack but: Any stories of posties getting compo from the owners? Particularly for minor bites/attacks?

its all the same call centre if you ring 999 or the local plod and think about it a crime as been commited YOUVE BEEN ASSAULTED

russOr is on another planet . how many posties have been on here claiming that the owner of the dog has denied the dog biting them ? 999 should be called when a crime has been committed or the offender is nearby . russOr wake up

are those sonic repellant guns on sail in the UK? where can you get them? What about a water pistol mixed with strong pepper and curry power? anyone heard of using that?

But if you are bitten by a dog, surely it is classed as an assault? If you got attacked on a walk, (punched or kicked) it would be at least common assault and the police involved? So why cant charges be brought against the owners for asaault? common assault og abh?templek
