inform your manager that you will be unable to complete your duty due to the amount of packet you will be wait noting.
once wait noted 48hours drop them in your next pouch box and the driver can collect the following day when dropping the bags off.

the job really is only as hard as you make it.

Just curious, did you guys get any of these...
The 2007 annual report of British bank HSBC Holdings was so heavy that the UK’s Royal Mail limited the number its postmen were allowed to carry in an effort to protect the backs of workers.

:funneh At 454 pages and weighing 1.47kg apiece, the hard copies of the reports were eventually delivered late to around 35 000 British shareholders as postal workers are permitted to carry a maximum of 16kg per satchel.

HSBC quipped: “In any case, you can download the thing from hsbc.com.”

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yesterday's pile for my walk was the same height as the "swing bin" under my frame - today's pile was a touch smaller - one day I'll count 'em ... all money though innit :chuckle
"We're under model" - oh no we're not - stick your lapse elsewhere ...

Think id rather write out a few p739,s than to risk my job, lino's will suggest of the record that they can be door stepped much the same as they did with the lightbulbs, not worth the risk though. Better to do the job properly, cut off and maybe have someone do them on docket.
Don't know why peoples try to make it so easy for the linos, cut off and let them do some managing for a change,
As for people being made to take them all out all at once, they should stick to the rules that are there to protect them by not having overweight bags, no doorstepping and just work to time

Don't know why peoples try to make it so easy for the linos,

Just guessing ,but maybe because they are ill informed and bullied and browbeaten day in day out. Now if they all got wise and stood together things would change very quickly :angel

Aye, the problem in an office such as mine is that nobody seems to do the job properly, so when you try and do it, when you go against the grain, you're in for more trouble than it's worth unless you have particular qualities in the testicular fortitude department.

Never met a manager yet that is over endowed in that department ,especially since they are required to defend the indefensible .
