I think the mix up was between temporary and permanent...and part-time and full-time.
It makes no difference to your breaks if you are temporary or permanent.

Don't blame the rep, they are most probably doing the best they can, have then been on any cwu courses? are they getting support off the branch?? are they getting support off the members?? how long have they been rep? To even become a rep says something about the person, as these days it's hard trying to find someone to be a rep due to the problems above.
Ok, so now comes the next problem..........trying to claim and backdate all what I am owed. If I go see my LINO and tell him I should be getting 30mins break per 6 hour shift, he will just look at me blank....if i go see my D.O.M he will be like 'not you again' and no contract renewal!! Been bugging D.O.M as owed 30 hours basic pay and been 5 weeks now and it still hasn't been resolved. Shouldn't feel like being a hindrance when all I am asking is for what I have already worked

If your managers TOLD YOU that you were only entitled to have 20 mins when it is 30 mins then they owe you.
If he doesn't pay up then take it further.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
