I am a packet driver.
Lets put the 24 per hour into perspective.

24 per hour equals one packet every 2 minutes 30 seconds.

Now there are numerous tasks that have to be performed to deliver a packet.

Drive from your last packet point to your next.
Park up. (finding a parking spot, lol)
Pull the packet out from the back.
Walk to the door.
Knock or ring and wait for an answer. (It varies as to whether you have to knock again here, get a signature, write a p739 or leave with a neighbour, it is safe to say that less than a third come straight to the door with one knock)
Return to the van ready to set off. (place parcel in the back if 739 left)

Imagine there was an average of 8 of these tasks to perform on an average packet delivery.
Less than 20 seconds per task on average.
Can any one of these tasks be performed in under 20 seconds?

What a crock.
